When it comes to everyday life, Cargill makes it easy with Village, Rest Home, and Respite Care. The well-appointed rooms all look out onto sheltered courtyards or landscaped gardens and come complete with a nurse call system, WiFi and ensuites.
Part of the close-knit Invercargill community, Cargill is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, just a hop, skip and jump from the Waikiki shopping centre, where you’ll find all the essentials including a bank and pharmacy. Just a few minutes from there and you’re in the heart of Invercargill.
We offer everything from podiatry to hairdressing, dietary advice and SKY TV. We have a range of recreational activities including happy hour, board games, visits from K9 friends, indoor bowls and free sports sweepstakes. Our Care Home van is also always on hand for outings.

Levels of care
Rest Home Care
If you or a loved one have a medical condition or are less able to lead an independent life, our Rest Home living offers dedicated 24/7 care from our team of registered nurses and trained carers.
Heritage Lifecare Respite services provide carers with a much needed short-term break. It is different from our Day Programme service as it allows guests to stay under our care for more than a day and up to a couple of weeks.

Additional Daily Accommodation Charges
We are pleased to be able to offer residents coming into our homes a range of premium room options. The premium room options provide intending residents with choices to suit their individual preferences, e.g. a full en-suite, semi ensuite, larger room or unique view.
A Premium Room Accommodation Charge is a fee that you pay in addition to your Daily Care Fee. The amount of additional charge depends on your rooms features, and this varies based on the premium room features and by Care Home location. Accommodation Premium Room charges range from: $5 to $15.
