Timaru Specialised Hospital Care

Although Highfield Lifecare in Timaru does not provide Specialised Hospital Care, it does offer a range of Geriatric Care services including rest home care, Day Programme and Respite care and Palliative/End of life care as part of our Rest Home service.

Geriatric Care

Highfield Lifecare provides Geriatric Care for the Timaru community with staff trained and equipped to deliver a tailored care programme for every resident. When you move to Highfield, you’ll feel at home knowing our geriatric care is there to support you at every stage.

Highfield’s geriatric care services include Rest Home care as well as Day Programme and Respite Care. We also provide palliative/end of life care as part of our Geriatric Care service as many of our residents are palliative. In our Rest Home, residents are attended to by registered nurses and approved caregivers, with comprehensive health care plans, tailored to the needs of each patient. Our Day Programme is ideal for people who are considering moving to Rest Home care, while our Respite programme provides carers and family with a break, giving them time to rest and recharge from anything from one day to two weeks.
