Our New Plymouth Retirement Villages located in Merrilands and Stratford have independent living offerings available.
A Care or local Needs Assessment Agency can often arrange external support should you need a little help with household chores. The important thing with external assisted living support is that you’ll still be able to enjoy your freedom. You’ll be able to get out and enjoy New Plymouth as you have always done.

For people who have been assessed as needing rest home level care (or higher) we have the perfect choice for you. Our nursing home services include rest home-level, hospital-level, respite and dementia care, as well as day programmes for residents of our Care Homes.
Our nursing home services are provided in the Care Homes spread throughout the region. In all we have four locations (in New Plymouth, Stratford and Hawera) where residents with increasing care needs can access expert nursing home care.

New Plymouth Elderly Daycare
Often elderly people living at home have someone looking after their everyday care needs. However sometimes carers need a short break. That’s where our New Plymouth Care Homes can help you with our elderly daycare services.
We’ll come and pick you up from your home and bring you to our place for a day that is varied and interesting. There are lots of things to do, including trips and activities, and you’ll enjoy a really nice meal while dining with other residents. Many of our elderly daycare guests say they love meeting and talking to new people; you’ll have plenty of opportunities to do that.
Away from your home, we’ll take good care of you, aiming to make it a memorable day for you. We can also administer medications if required.

Respite Care in New Plymouth
Wherever you live, you’re not far from one of our Care Homes offering respite care. Our New Plymouth Care Homes and Villages are found in Merrilands and further out too in places like Stratford and Hawera.
Respite care is available for up to two weeks. It simply depends on your needs. You can come to us for a scheduled stay; or if something crops up, and your normal carer needs some time out, we don’t mind short notice. Either way we’ll make you welcome and ensure you receive the care you need.
We’ll invite you to join in the activities – you may even go on a trip with other residents – and you’ll be part of everything happening.The meals are healthy and really tasty, and we can often manage your medication, if required.
